Texas Moves To Nullify Federal Education?

A new article in The Austin-American Statesman reports that Cynthia Dunbar, a member of the Texas State Board of Education, has introduced a new bill to the board that would nullify the Federal Board of Education’s claim to authority in Texas.

Texas has been leading the way along a lot of things these days, namely job creation. Radical? No. Needed? Yes. Education is a state issue.

Exit question: Since the Department of Education was formed, has the agency really helped education that much?
